How do I get my two cats to like each other???

Hi, I have two cats, got them as kittens and they are brother and sister, and since they grew from kittens to cats they just hate each other, they are forever fighting.. They have both been spayed.. they are great house cats and very friendly to all of us but that is where it stops...Please help as it is driving me spare? thanks

Cats, even siblings, will fight to some degree until they settle the dominance issue. Just don't favor one over the other and make sure they have enough space. Maybe invest in seperate cat beds for them.

Cats keep themselves sharp by practicing fighting with other cats so unless they are really ripping each other up, I wouldn't worry about it. If it really bothers you that much, then keep them apart. And some cats just have nasty streaks that you can't change, just like people.

You might have to put them in separate rooms for a few days so they'll maybe start to miss each other. Of course you know to spray them with a water bottle to break up fights.

Do they have to share food, water, or a litter box? That could also be the cause of fighting. Make sure they each have their own food and water bowls and their own litter boxes, as far away from each other as possible. Good luck. I always heard that two sibling cats were better and wouldn't fight.... guess I was wrong.

I HAVE THAT SAME PROBLEM.WHEN MY MALE CATS WERE SMALL THEY USED TO GET ALONG WELL.BUT NOW THEY FEEL THEY TOO BIG! I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ALSO! I JUST LEAVE THEM ALONE TO AND THEY JUST AVOID EACH OTHER.WE CAN'T REALLY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! SORRY!

Cat's fight with each other to some degree, much like we fought with our siblings. Do they sleep together, groom each other? My three cats are friendly with each other, but occassionally I find tufts of hair around when I come home. So I know that they've been fighting. Make sure you don't favor one over the other. If they are brother and sister, they don't hate one another. It's just a dominance issue.
