  1. keys are eyes follow the ball as you strike it and follow through

  2. i had the exact same problem!! what you do is line up your shoulders and hips in the direction you want the ball to go. then take a few steps back and step up when you serve. It should go over the net perfectly straight. try it

  3. I played Volleyball in college, and our coach used hula hoops by placing them in the area you want to serve the ball.  Then just try to make it in the circle of the hula hoop.  Like any sport, you need to practice, practice, practice.  First learn to control your serve, then work on the power of your serve.

  4. I had this problem this year. What my coach started with was i had to throw the ball straight in front of me and it should land on the line. Start with your hand ready to hit the ball give yourself a nice good toss hit with your palm really hard. After you make contact don't follow through. The main thing is to stay calm take your time but don't take to long. Just practice this over and over. When your at home just hit the ball at the side of your house like your serving the ball just hit it at your house.

  5. When your outside, practice hitting the ball against your garage door.  snap your wrist downward to have a topspin on the ball.  when you get good and fast at this, it will carry over to your serve.  remember not to throw the ball more than 2 feet above your head, and hit it when your arm is mostly extended.  don't hit it with a totally straight arm.  follow through, and make sure to step with your opposite foot

  6. I will try to describe how I do it. I was shown this while in the Air Force. A girl on the University of Utah Vollyball team taught me and I once served 29 aces in a row.

    1. Your hands have to be a little sticky. Not by a foreign substance, just not slick.

    2. Hold it in your left hand

    3. As you toss it in the air spin it clockwise (on a horizontal plane)

    4. Cup the fingers of your right hand (which also should not be slick)

    5. Bring your hand towards the ball and hit the ball at its apex with a curving motion  (this motion is similar to when you stick your hand out of the car and move it up and down like your hand is flying..lol. Sorry thats as close to a description as I can think of)

    6. When you make contact, it should be a brief snapping motion (NOT SLAPPING) but remember to follow through.

I hope you understood that description. I cant be scientific as to why it works, but trust me it does. You will definetly be able to tell when you are doing it right.

Hope that helps but whatever happens stick to it, vollyball is alot of fun.

  7. weight training helps with power.and make sure you have a high toss  but not so high take its takes a while for the ball to come back down. hit the ball with the palm of your hand & make sure your hand & wrist are stiff

dont follow through to much or it will go in the net

and take a step with your left foot it give you more power
