How do I get my yahoo 360 picture to look better on here?

My yahoo 360 photo doesn't look good on yahoo answers. It's so small so I tried cropping it and resizing it and it looks good at yahoo 360 but is distorted here in my avatar, my son looks deformed in that picture LOL How do I make it look nicer? Should I resize without cropping? Then he will look far away though.

any ideas?

  1. I think the image looks great. You can try to lighten it a bit, is all that I can tell. Y/A re-sizes 360 images to a small thumbnail size, so there is a limit on how large you can make it appear on here. I wouldn't bother with it as it seems like a clear image, but if you still do, you will have to use photo-editing software like Microsoft Paint, Adobe Photoshop (which is the best, and is what I use), or any other imaging program that came with your computer. You can download free & shareware software too, but that's probably not necessary.

Paint is on most Windows computers with Microsoft software in the Accessories programs section.

    - Open Paint, then open the image file from within Paint.

    RE-SIZE:

    - Click on the Image Menu and choose "Attributes."

    - Adjust the pixel width and length. OR use "stretch and skew" and just reduce the percentage (probably better to keep proportions even).

    - Go to the File menu and Save As. Choose the JPEG option in the file type dropdown after you click Save As. If a quality box pops up, click OK.

    - Reload it on 360's personal profile pic module, choose as primary, and wait for Y/A to update.

UPDATE: You'll probably would have to use a program other than Paint to brighten the image.
