  1. 1st of all thats an amazing 100 free time. just try your best and a lot ofd colleges like to see a great swimmer who is dominant in all 4 strokes especially freestyle and butterfly...my personal favorite.

  2. Like someone else said I went to a bunch of college websites and filled out their prospective athlete forms. That helped a lot in letting college coaches know I was on the swimming scene since my times weren't attractive enough to be pursued by recruiters.

The thing that helped the most though was joining berecruited.com. This is their address: http://www.berecruited.com/.

I posted my times and my profile there and I was contacted by several coaches almost immediately and was heavily recruited for some time.

However, they were almost all Division III schools. That was fine with me, it was what I wanted. If your goal is a scholarship at a Division I school like UNC you'll have to get a lot faster.

  3. get good grades

    contact the coach

    get faster

    tryout?

  4. I don't know but I LOVE UNC i had no idea they had a swim team cool

  5. Well, first, you can fill out their prospective student-athlete questionaire which you can find on their website. You can also email coached you information to get your name out. Eventually you'll have to register with the NCAA clearinghouse and stuff, but your high school or club coach can help explain that to you next year when the time comes.

If UNC is your school of choice then you will need to drop about 4 or 5 seconds to be competitive with any of their swimmers. Their slowest top time of the year was 49.49 while their fastest is a 45.10.

July 1st of your junior summer, coaches that want to recruit you or give you a scholarship can call you and arrange recruiting trips and visits and stuff. If you want to look at stats for other schools, you can go to wither college swimming.com or to the schools website where they usualy have a list of top times from the school and you can figure out where you would fit.

    Good luck with your swimming!
