  1. Have your employer write a letter stating they can not function without you.....that you are needed at work and it would hurt the company if they allow you to go. Or tell them you are "unstable" at the moment...too much going on your mind and you don't feel you can be of free mind if you would be a jury. good luck!

  2. It's required to do it by law, your work will still pay you even if you go to Jury Duty.  Many places just have you sign the check from Jury duty to them, and then you still collect your paycheck or salary.  Almost everyone has to do it as some time or another, so go, enjoy learning about how the justice system works, and do your civic duty.

It's really not that bad, I actually had fun a couple of years ago.

  3. None of us get 'paid enough' to take time off of work.

It is referred to as a 'duty' because it is not something we want to do - but it is something we have a moral obligation to do.

Think of it as simply doing your fair share.

  4. I think you need a good reason to get out... like someone's dying... or else you just have to suck it up. I could be wrong, ask when you're there next time.

  5. fake your own death.  then flee the country and assume a new identity somewhere in south america.  then return to the states when the heat dies down.  works like a charm.  good luck.

  6. Don't do that c**p! Please. Let the justice system know they are wrong and you do not support them. My mom got summonced. She didn't have to do it because her father was murdered. You don't have to if someone in your family was murdered. I guess I can say the same thing. I wouldn't get involved in that. A lot of trouble. Mob ties,Revenge a lot of mess. Half of them are innocent anyway.

  7. most jobs pay you for your days on jury duty otherwise you really have to go thats your obligation

  8. You don't. You do your civic duty. A very small price to pay for the freedom you enjoy. IF you were a defendant, you would sure want some jurors, wouldn't you?
