Question:

How do I get out of certain services in Yahoo?

I thought that I'd be using them more often than I did, so now I'd like to get rid of them because I'm not using them. How do you get rid of My Yahoo! and 360? The only Yahoo services I really use are Mail, Messenger, and Answers, and would like to keep them.

  1. My Yahoo is there to stay, you do not have to click on it to see it. Just click on Yahoo home page

    Yahoo 360.

You can not delete but you can hide it

    Remove all your friends

Remove personal photos or set to private or just me

Type in fake information and ID

    Unchecked your URL box

Uncheck your communication boxes-you do not want to get messages from there

Set all your Blog ,to private or just me.

Basically it is setting everything to private or just me and filling in some fake ID

click on save on all your changes and leave and do not go back It will close in time

You still keep your other services you want

  2. Then, just use the services you want to use. Your Yahoo ID just gives you access to Yahoo's free services.

If you've added content to Y!360, then remove it and stop using that service. Make all your settings (basic info, blog, communication, and every module on your "My Page") set to "Friends" or "Just Me (Private)".  The "Just Me (Private)" setting is preferred, but if you don't have that option choose "Friends." Delete all your friends (see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/fri... ). Change the background back to the default version - either called the "custom" or "classic" theme. Then, that's it.

You can't completely get rid of the 360 functionality without deleting your entire Yahoo account (mail, photos, etc.). You can only make sure no one who you haven't invited can view a feature and make sure that there's nothing there to view.

It's the same thing with any other service. You can only completely lose access to a service, if you delete your Yahoo ID. But then, you would lose access to all Yahoo services as that ID as well (whether you've ever used the service or not). It's the ID that gives you access to all Yahoo services. Delete it and your access is gone unless you create another one (at which point, you would be starting all over content wise).
