Question:

How do I get out of this depression?

In early July, I found a kitten in a ditch. He was the most perfect kitten ever. He was playful, cuddly, understanding, and he was an orange tabby; my favorite kind of kitten. He had the cutest face too. His nose wasn't too big and his eyes were large and cute. Then, my dog stepped on his head, causing him to go into a coma from which he died. He died last night at 3:07 am. Ever since, I have been depressed and on the verge of crying every second. We did go out and buy another kitten today, which is helping a little, but is also worsening it slightly. Please tell me how I can get over this without having to pay for therapy or anything. Btw--I'm 13 years old

  1. You will get over it in time. Something terrible like this will take time to get over and you are experiencing normal grief at this point. It will always be sad but you will begin to accept what happened and be able to move on.

  2. Hey cheer up!!! i also suffer from depression but i tend 2 get over it. just think of something nice. plus the cat would have died in 10 years so imagine if u had the cat 4 10 years, u would be more sad. i had a hamster and it died, i have a fish and it died, and worse of all, i found baby bunnies and the mother had died, so i took care of them but they died. i held them as the slowly passed away. u will get alot off ur chest if u talk 2 some1. or let it out. u will get over it eventually.

  3. You are feeling normal grief and sadness. Give yourself time. This isn't necessarily depression, and you probably won't need therapy. Don't worry about those things. Just give yourself time to heal.
