  1. First, black women are spectacular, wonderful, s**y, beautiful, witty, grounded and all around an example to all of us. At least, many are that, just as many - choose an enthicity - are. If you are those things, even just one of them, you are exceptional.

On the hair issue, I would advise you do what men and women around the world do; see a good artist at a hair salon.

For myself, nappy is not a problem for hair. But if you want to change it, then do so.

  2. Please look up "Maya Angeleo".  She is a wonderful black lady who has written beautiful poems and prose.  I love the one she wrote called "I'm a Phenomenal Woman".  Read it and let it sink deep through every fiber of your being.  I think once you truly understand that poem life will "open up like a beautiful rose for you".

You're not "just a nappy headed black woman".  Did you steal that saying from Oprah?  God doesn't make mistakes.  He chose you to be who you are.  It's up to you to become the best you can be. Blessings to you sweetie..<><):

  3. I don't really think there is anything that needs to be "gotten over." There is nothing wrong about who you are or how your hair is.

The only people who think there are have just internalized a certain value system which may make them feel bad about themselves for no reason. I take it that your avatar is not what you really look like (it seems to be a light-skinned Asian person), so maybe you are one of those people? You might find this movie interesting; I came across it yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17fEy0q6y...

I'm sure you are a beautiful person!

  4. Hello there,

Have you seen Beyonce lately.... Black woman?  No Nappy hair?    Girl,  if you don't like your hair...  go get it fixed.  We live in the modern world that allows for every change you want to make... ya know?

Don't like to be a guy....  change to a woman.

    Don't like hair....  be bald.

Don't like bald....  get a wig.

Don't like your lips....  plump um up like a fish.

You can change anything about yourself that you want.  I know it is expensive to have your hair processed but there are thousands of black women doing it every day and look great.

  5. im ashamed of you...im proud of being black...there nothing wrong with you ,stop worrying of what people thing about you...):

  6. There are many black women, writers, doctors, scholars, etc.  You could emulate and respect.  Respect everyone including your self.

  7. just accept the way you are, and its whats on the inside that counts...

  8. silly girl! Be happy, you're the only person in your life worth living for.

and... what exactly is... er.. 'nappy'?

  9. you shouldnt have to get over it you should embrace it... you've just been influenced by your environment to believe that it is a bad thing

  10. What's wrong with being a Black woman with nappy hair?

  11. First, why would you be disappointed in being a black woman? You are what you are and let that problem be some body else problem, not yours.

There are many black people who have contributed so much good to humanity.

  12. See yourself as God sees you. That inner being which is created in Gods image. Live by the guide that all decisions are made from the position that I will not act or choose unless that which I do is TRUTH-BEAUTY-GOODNESS.

  13. By realizing that all women have a bad hair day now and again..and color doesn't change the fact that we're all created equal.
