How do I get paint off of cement and untreated wood?

My mom spilled a gallon of white paint on the concrete when we were painting my garage. The paint splattered onto cement pavers and the untreated wooden fence nearby. I tried Goof Off. Luckily I sprayed most away with water. But some penetrated deep, and I can't get it off. Does anyone have any suggestions? Wood sanding it work?

  1. I was going to suggest sanding it off, but it sounds like a lot of paint to sand.  It would probably cause damage to sand that much off.  Try paint thinner.  Actually, your best best is to go to a home improvement store like Lowes or Home Depot and ask their opinion.

    Good luck!

  2. the best would be to rent a power washer

I spilled a gallon of white paint on my sidewalk and in the street and the power washer took it all off. Best thing is that its just high-powered water so no dangerous chemicals.

It could work on wood too, but be careful! It can easily gouge or dent the wood is you aren't careful.
