Question:

How do I get past a banning?

There is a website which I can no longer post on. I didn't do anything wrong other than let my room mate use my computer. The thing is I'd like to post again but the website remembers my computer and I can't seem to figure out how to change that. I've sent the Admin an email but no luck.

I've deleted cookies but the site still recognizes my computer. What can I do so the site won't recognize my computer? Could this be an IP ban as well?

  1. It may be banning your IP or Mac Address or something, you will have to change your computer information, maybe even your user account name.

  2. You could use a proxy to bypass the ban, IF its a IP ban.

To find out how to use a proxy, google it. Google is your best friend.

  3. Your best bet is to use a proxy server.  One is located at http://www.proxymafia.net/ all you have to do is highlight the address box and type in the website you want to visit.  As far as being an IP ban it is plausible, however you won't know for sure unless the admin responds to your email.

  4. More than likely, they have temporarily banned your IP address and your account handle.

You most likely will need to make a new account (try first).

If your still banned.  Turn off your modem for 2 or 3 minutes.  That should give a chance of getting a new IP address...

Use Start > Run > CMD > type IPCONFIG /ALL to find out your real IP (not the 192.168.1.1 one).

  5. if you tried deleting the cookies and it didn't work then it will most likely be an IP Ban trying using another Friends computer then creating a new account on the website then go back home and use the new account
