How do I get picked for jury duty?

I've been a registered voter my entire adult life. I'm not a felon or have a criminal record for that matter so, why haven't I been chosen for jury duty and I've heard of people getting called up for it more than once?

  1. Its a completely random pool. I've been called up twice, but my number didn't get called (so I didn't end up serving) Maybe you can contact your county's judicial system and see if you can volunteer for jury duty..

  2. Do you pay taxes?  I think they call taxpayers.  I wasn't called for many years, then they sent me a summons.  I answered and now they ask me regularly.

  3. Dont Complain, just be happy. You aint missing nothing. Jury Duty is a headache, too much waiting.

  4. I have only been called for it 2 in the 16 years that I have been an adult. I still have never acutally been part of the selection process.

  5. I've heard through having a driver's license......from those records.

  6. consider yourself lucky! I think they choose people randomly.

  7. It depends on how they pick jurors in your county some use drivers license others use tax roles for home ownership. Also you just may be lucky because it is by random draw. I got picked 4 years in a row and have not been called since.
