How do I get pictures from my digital camera onto my computer?

I have the USB, but my CD-rom drive is broken so i cant install the software needed. Is there any other way?

go 2 bestbuy n ask 4 a cord that goes with ur camera that u can download data with cell phones hav em 2!

If i were you i would put the pics on one of your friends computers and then just send them to yourself in an email or you could also use msn or aim or skype or stuff like that.....

or the best thing u can do is..just go to the manufacturer's website and click on the tab downloads.. the necessary softwares should be there...

Download some free software online like Picasa2 from Google.

depending on the camera manufacture you can go to their website and download a driver for the camera and it will take the place of having to use the CD-drive.

Also see if you can download the same software from the Internet that is on your CDROM that you cannot read, or see if you can get a cheap CD-ROM from ebay or some where.

most software that comes with the camera is also online, just go to the website of your camera, and look up the software, it's usually under Drivers, and Software, or under technical support. Or you could just get a card reader. or copy the CD on a USB Drive using another computer, and installing it that way, but when doing so, save the Cd contents on a Zip folder! good luck! :)

try to google the model for your camera online and see if you can find the drivers needed to install, that would be the same as installing the cd rom stuff. or if u have a sd memory card slot that would be way easier.

hmm, with my camera i only need to plug it in with the USB and i go to "my computer" and it should be there .. and  u should be able to open it.. ?

1) Plug in camera to USB port on computer

2) Turn it on

3) Open Windows Explorer

4) See if there's a "Removable Drive" listed

5) If so, expand and check contents

You should be able to do a right click>copy your files to a folder on your HD
