How do I get pictures off my camera?

Okay! So I took some pictures. I see it on my camera and stuff, but now how do I get it onto the computer? I took out the sandisk and put it in the slot. But I can't open it. It says do you want to format the disk, but I don't want to.

if you got a lead with your camera , try plugging it in, turn the camera on after doing so and open windows explorer and see if its available.
