  1. Use  something oily like WD40 and let it sit for awhile then use a hard plastic scraper it works for me with a little elbow grease.

  2. Try something called "Goo gone".  It takes almost anything off of anywhere.  Especially good when stores put price stickers in bad places.

  3. use a razor blade or utility blade not something you shave with and scap it off make sure you push hard enough to get all of it!!

  4. Real Mayonaise let stand wipe off> In the shade>

  5. Try using something like coke or any type of cola drink put it on the windshield let sit a few seconds and rinse it off with water and then clean the windsheild with widow cleaner

  6. mineral spirits may do the job bug and tar remover will work  razor blade will sratch the clear coat maybe even the paint thats a no-no on the razor blade

  7. I normaly just use spit. Spit has chemicals and enzymes that are designed to break down sugars and other complex molecules, also it is free and won't scratch.

  8. mr. awesome's right

razor blade.  it won't scratch the glass if you do it right if that's what you're thinking.

some of those solvents might be bad for your seals or paint if you spill, and they might be extremely difficult to get off of your windshield too.  i've heard of pranking people by putting brake fluid on their windshield...it's almost impossible to get off...

  9. I would recommend against the razor blade idea because I have done this to a couple windows on my truck and it left some scratch marks.

Instead, I would try to use strong solvents such as paint thinner, lacquer thinner, or wax & grease remover. Put some in a spray bottle and spritz the area with the pine sap, let it soften, then try to wipe it away. After the solvent has removed it, you'll still have to use glass cleaner to remove the streaks and such. Good luck!

  10. they make products called tar and sap removers for this purpose... the other thing you can try is park the car in direct sun so the heat will start to melt the sap then use a razor blade and gently scrape it off.. followed up by a good window cleaner

  11. Turpentine works well.
