We're stopping at like 3 airports on the way and the longest flight is six hours I think... Also, the day/night we get in, we rest.

  1. You don't get rid of jet lag, you deal with it the best and quickest you can...Everybody has their own way but here's what I would suggest.

It's very hard to sleep on the flight over but try hard anyway.

    Ear plugs, sleep mask, etc.

          Don't drink any alchohol...

Prepare your sleep pattern 2 weeks ahead of time.

You'll be hyper when you get there and then get tired but don't

go to sleep until it's time to go to sleep OVER THERE.

Excitement will get you through from there on.

  2. I've researched and attempted many ways to deal with jet lag.

If you don't have pre-flight prep time, the best thing to do is to STAY UP, be active and get as much light as possible until the bedtime at your destination.  Drink lots of water.  Also, the homeopathic medicine Jet Lag has been said to work for some.

For me, the only thing that has worked is to reset my internal clock (circadian rhythm) by changing my sleep pattern a week before takeoff.

Going from the US to Europe, I start going to bed earlier and earlier, and getting up earlier, the week before.  I wind up getting out of bed at midnight the day of my departure.

Then on the plane, I try to get to sleep at the bedtime of my destination point.
