How do I get rid of Power Anti-virus-2009?

Hi community members,

I got this Power Anti-Virus 2009 (icon is a shield if that helps). It keeps popping up whenever or whatever I am doing on the computer. I can not remove this in add/remove programs either. I have AVG Free 8.0 already. This starting happening when I viewed a site I probably shouldn't have. Thanks for the help & yes I will return & award a 10 point for what I feel is the best answer on how to fix this problem. Thanks & have a good night. :0)

u gotta follow the instructions provided by Ricky n that should do it, antivirus-2009 is not an actual anti virus in short its a scam which would'nt stop the pop ups until u take it out it tries to get uto pay for it n u know give out ur credit info

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

Download, install, update and select Quick Scan.

Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

Spybot S&D:

Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'

I too was having the same problem...good thing you asked about this!  I am doing what the people are saying to run...I will let you know about it as soon as I can...if it helps!
