We recently found our ball python had little tiny white bugs crawling on him and with some searching I found that its most likely Woodlice. We put him in a bowl of water which drowned them, but how do we get it out of a huge piece of driftwood??

We are going back to having indoor/outdoor carpet for him now!

  1. Clean the cage and soak the driftwood in a bleach/water solution or bake it. Woodlice feed on wood and waste and are harmless to snakes.

  2. You need to bake it - 20 minutes at 300 degrees to kill the bugs in the log.
