How do I get rid of a cold quickly?

I have a cold and its da day before school.

Is there a way to get rid of a cold quickly so i dont let my friends see me with my eyes watery and stuff and so i dont pass it on?

Drink hot chicken broth with lots of pepper and take a dose of Day Quill. But you have to keep taking the medicine every few hours like directed otherwise the cold will take longer to get over.

I take vitamin C and echinacea, I think it works well.
