  1. run an anti-virus scan on your computer.  it will identify if there is any virus and what that virus is.  most likely, your anti-virus program will ask if you want to remove or quarantine it.  also, run adware to remove hidden files that have installed itself (you will probably have to remove them manually).

or the easiest way...restore your computer from a date that you know it's safe.

  2. Sounds like you could get a virius killer but usually the easiest way is to re-install your Operation system (Windows XP). It isnt to hard. But next time dont download from 4shared eh?

  3. try downloading spybot search and destroy

or an avg anitvirus trial....after that, scan it, and that should take care of it.

  4. free antivirus...if not restore :(

  5. scan your computer of virus's or maybe you dont have virus protection if so call you computer guy or bring it in to get fixed .

  6. Scan it for viruses and spyware for FREE.  See links below.

Another possibility on Windows XP and Windows Vista is a tool known as System Restore, which restores the registry and critical system files to a previous checkpoint. Often a virus will cause a system to hang, and a subsequent hard reboot will render a system restore point from the same day corrupt. Restore points from previous days should work provided the virus is not designed to corrupt the restore files. Some viruses, however, disable system restore and other important tools such as Task Manager and Command Prompt.

  7. I would suggest a System Restore.

The way you find that is you go to the start menu and go to Accesories.

The you go to "System Tools" and you'll see "System Restore".

After that you find the date before you made your mistake, follow the promps and when your computer is restored to the time you chose, it will most likely fix the problem.

    Hope this helps!

  8. What anti-virus program are you running? Avast is a good free AV and monitors p2p transfers.

Sounds like you'll also need a utilities and registry fixing program, I suggest Glary Utilities at Download.com.

Smit Fraud Fix has never failed me at killing virus's.
