How do I get rid of couches via this website since they are very awkward to get outside the house?

I have two couches that I most likely do want to get rid of, but they are very difficult to get outside of the house. Do I meet the person who expresses interest in them in a public place and take him/her back to my house? I have read that you should, for safety's sake, either meet the taker of your products in a public place or put them outside your house and not say whether you will be in or not. Let me know if you have any questions about my inquiry.
