How do I get rid of fruit flies!?

Help, I got a bunch of fruit flies FREE with a bag of potatoes and I can't get rid of them! Help!

Make a fly trap:

1) Take a jar, remove the lid, put some damp baking yeast in it (flies love yeast more than beer drinkers!)

2) make a paper funnel (make the hole just big enough so the flies can get in)

3) put the funnel on the jar and tape it on

4) after capture, release the flies outdoors

It helps if you get rid of all overripe/rotting vegetables beforehand!
