How do I get rid of furniture in Berlin?

Question

We have a massive wardrobe that we got on ebay for 50 euro... We are moving back to the UK, and there is no way that we can afford a flat big enough to keep the wardrobe!

Basically we want to get rid of it at any cost (or at least for free) - Unfortunately, it has not shifted on Craigs list, and we are running out of time, so we want to take matters into our own hands... Call the council?
