How do I get rid of icons on my ipod touch home page?

How do I get rid of some the icons I don't want that are on my ipod touch's homepage? Because I am a teen in high school I really don't need to know the stocks, etc!

I don't use stocks either and I know you can't delete the ones you buy (or the ones it comes with), but I moved the stock icon to the second page so I didn't have to see it. It might not be completely removing it, but you can't see it. Just drag the icon to the right side of the screen and it'll bring it to the next page and you can't see it anymore! That's what I did and it doesn't bother me anymore. :D

If you have a Jailbroken iPod there are a number of applications available that will hide the icons for you. Try out HidePod, Poof, or Customize.

You can also SSH into a Jailbroken iPod and hide the app by following the tutorial in my source.

You cant get ride of any apps that come with the touch but to get rid of any other hold your finger on any app until they become shaky

You can't get rid of the ones that came with the touch but you can move them to another page just so that it's more convenient for you to use.  To do this just hold down on any applications icon until all of the applications start to shake.  Then slide it over to the side of the screen until it goes over to the next page.  I hope this helps. :)
