My eyes have gotten worse for about 2 days now, and I can hardly see, can't go into work, etc. What do I do? Am I allergic? Thanks.

i had to get an epy pen for u i suggest benadryl

  2. First off- if you feel that your eyeball is infected by the oil go to a doctor. Period! Their medication (as of twelve years ago) is less likely to cause damage to your sight than the O.T.C. meds.

The key to stopping poison ivy is to draw the irritating oil off the skin.

    1- Home remedy,

Get some regular oatmeal flakes and bandage gauze. Cook the oatmeal with water like normal or into a mud and make a thumb tip sized, moist wad. Roll or fold that into some gauze (poultice) and dab some of the oatmeal on the outside to make skin contact. Strap that over the eye and infected area. Let it dry out over two to four hours and don't shift it around. Keep that eye shut and repeat until clear.

    2- Modern,

Moisten a pad of gauze with an O.T.C. anti itch medication like Benadryl (i think) made for poison ivy and tape it over the infected area with dry gauze over it. Change the pads after they've been dry for half an hour.

  3. Go to the doctor and get a shot.  You can go blind from PI in the eyes.  Go to the doctor TODAY.  Call right now.

  4. Get some professional help. Ask a pharmacist. Some pharmacies now have clinics, I forget which ones. You can tolerate a large expanse of poison ivy exposure elsewhere on your skin, but around your eyes, it would be a good idea for some one else to look at it.

  5. do not use topical ointment it tkes pigment out of your skin and the pigment never comes back. go tto the doctor they will give your either a liquid or a shotin the butttt hope i helped

  6. Yes you are allergic.  Go see the doc.  If you get poison ivy around your eye you need eye drops and other treatment.  The longer you wait, the worse it can get.

  7. 1) wash your face with some body wash and relax it should go down a bit

    2) put some ice on your eyes
