Question:

How do I get rid of mild rosacea?

I have auburn hair, really light skin, and have mild rosacea that is very annoying. I always have to wear foundation to make my skin more even, and if I don't, you can definitely see the little lines of broken blood vessles if you are close to me. A little bit about my habits... I do try to drink enough water, I only drink alcohol once a week at most, I wear sunscreen, and I don't smoke. I don't know any (inexpensive) products that I should use, or the sequence in which to use them. Anybody have success with this without spending too much?

Thanks!

  1. Hello,

Rosacea is  fungal infection, and the only way to truly rid yourself of it is to kill the fungus which lives in your skin.  Over the counter remedies and home remedies are ultimately useless since they cannot kill the fungus.  I would suggest talking to your primary medical provider about anti-fungal medications such as Diflucan (or others) with proven benefit in the treatment of this condition.  Once you have eliminated it from your body, the next step is to avoid re-infection.  Again, ask your medical provider what steps you should take to do so.  Good luck to you.
