I am seventeen years old and I am going to be a senior in high-school this year. I have a problem with my body that is making me VERY self conscious of myself. Cellulite. On my butt and thighs. I never knew teenagers like myself could get cellulite, or am I just different? I'm not overweight or anything...I am 5'5 and I weigh 125 lbs. So what's up with me having this disgusting problem that I can't get rid of?!?!? Please someone, you have to help me. I seriously might just go anorexic to get rid of this.

  1. Being anorexic isn't funny, nor will it solve your problem.  And you may as well adjust to having cellulite, it's genetic- all you can do is think ugly thoughts about your female ancestors.  Cellulite refers to the appearance of the skin, but that isn't the site of the problem.  Cellulite is the result of your fat stores being located too close the the skin.  Fat cells have an irregular shape, where skin cells are more brick like.  Think elephant pressing against a brick wall, and you get an idea of why you see what you see.  The directions for where fat is stored in the body is genetic, so nothing you do is going to change that.  The magic lotions and potions don't work because nothing you can put on skin is going to dissolve fat- at least not without doing a number on the skin over it.  You can watch your weight, of course- being overweight certainly isn't a help.  You can tone the underlying muscles.  But the layer of fat you detest is also the reason you feel nice, soft and cuddly to the boys, dear, and the reason they don't feel the same way.  And I hate to tell you this, but even anorexics will suffer from cellulite.  Had a look at the   scandal papers at the supermarket lately?   I'm sure you've seen the swimsuit shots of the stars and their cellulite.  Now honestly, if there was a cure- regardless of what it cost to get rid of it, do you think they would have it?  I work with a dermatologist that can't be seen in a swimsuit, she has it so bad.  And believe me, if there was a cure she would know about it.  So all you can reasonably do is curse great, great, great, Aunt Malificent, watch your weight, and stay in reasonable shape.  Boys don't like hugging bags of bones anyway, and nobody ever remarks on the thinness of a corpse in the coffin.  So back off that idea.  Your self consciousness is also partly a function of your age, and that too will change.   You do reach a point in life when you accept what your container looks like, and enjoy life anyway.  And I assure you, Mr. Perfect isn't going to notice it either.  You will be perfect enough for him, when the time comes.

  4. Hi,

I used to have pretty bad cellulite which only got worse after I get pregnant. I had it mostly around my inner thighs and bottom and a bit on my tummy as well. I tried eating more healthy food and did a  lot of exercise as well which friends and family members recommended but my skin was still lumpy and floppy. I then recently read an article by a lady who claimed to have got rid of her cellulite by using a particular cream. I tried it and it worked pretty well. It took a couple of weeks but my skin had improved a lot and I  managed to get rid of my cellulite completely. You can read more about the lady's article at the link below:

  5. You have to:

    - avoid fast food and sodas

    - massage your problem areas

    - scrub your problem areas (coffee ground scrubs work pretty well and cost nothing)

    - use a contrast shower

    - go for some body wrapping procedures.

Combined all together, these will make your cellulite invisible in several weeks - guaranteed! :). I work on it all the time and nobody knows I got cellulite.

  8. You are most definitely not alone, I'm the same hight and weight as you and I've had cellulite since I was about 15. I don't think it will ever go any but I've found that butt and thigh exercises make it look a bit better. I just ignore it now but it's taken me 6 years.
