  1. Use a mix of cinnamon and sugar. The ants will pick up the sugar, along with the cinnamon, and take it back to their queen. Ants can’t digest cinnamon and once the queen dies from not being able to digest the cinnamon the colony will die without her.

  2. Pour boiling water all over them and they will drown and burn. Do it 2 to 3 times and will kill most.

  3. Doctor Bronner's peppermint soap, diluted with water in a spray bottle.

  4. There is a powder that you can use instead of spraying .

  5. If you sprinkle black pepper they will die or take off.  Obviously you have to take care if you have pets or kids so they don't track it around and you all end up having sneezing fits, LOL.  I had left some used dishes on the patio and just brought them in and left them in the kitchen sink overnight before washing them.  In a couple days I suddenly had an infestation of ants on the countertop near the sink.  I just sprinkled pepper near the edge of the sink for a couple of days and that solved the problem quickly.

  6. spread out some corn meal non toxic and it kills them

  7. boil your kettle and then pour the boiling water over them, no need for chemicals
