Question:

How do I get rid of "those" stains on my bed?

Serious question - please don't report!

You know when you get those come stains on your sheets, well I took them off and washed them. Thing is my mattress still smells a lil and it's embarrassing if someone else was to walk in/use my bedroom, so is there like some spray/stain-remover I can use on my mattress and duvet to get rid of the smell?? I just want them smelling real fresh.

Thanks for any help, and yeah I'm a dumb teenager o.O

  1. yeh dont squirt all over your bed in the first place...YUK! cant u control yourself and get some tissue prior to doing it? MEN!

  2. Try Vanish foam carpet cleaner, follow the instructions and it should come out.  Asda or Tescos sell it for about £3-£4.

  3. s***n is a protein so try meat tenderizer....used on tough steaks.  Make a paste, spread it over the mattress stain, let sit 30 minutes then wash out.  Of course washing a mattress is difficult at best.  Lots of blotting to dry, hair dryer, blotting.......a real pain.  Duvet cover, if washable, pretreat with stain remover and wash, otherwise off to the dry cleaner, or if embarrased, new washable duvet cover.

In the future use a waterproof mattress pad.  You can put another mattress pad on top of that.

Blood stains are best treated with hydrogen peroxide as soon as noticed and then washed with detergent.

Last thought is rent a carpet cleaner and deep clean the mattress.  You won't be sleeping on it for a day or two and you'll be blotting out the moisture and using the hair dryer to speed drying.  There's a lot of fill under the mattress cover.  If that has the stink, then no cleaning will get that far down.  New mattress and waterproof mattress pad.

  4. Get a mattress pad that goes under your fitted sheet. Some of them have an impermeable backing so that liquids don't go through. They are about 60-100 bucks for a Queen size. And then you just have to wash the mattress pad. I don't reccommend washing your entire mattress - I am sure that will make more bacteria grow. Also the Febreze suggestion is good, but the smell of Febreze makes me so hungry.

  5. Spray it with Febreze

  6. febreeze always gets rid of c*m smell
