How do I get rid of saved pics off my desktop that keep making copies over and over when I try to delete them?

I saved pics to my desktop off a cd to send via email and now when I try to delete them off my desktop something keeps making extra copies of them. My desktop is literally inundated with them now!

not sure, doesn't sound right, you have an image like jpg, and when you drag and drop it into recycle bin, instead it makes duplicate on desktop,

scan for spyware/ malware,

delete browser cache and cookies, empty temp folder,

also check printer properties and options or see if any files are waiting to be printed, could be glitch related ,

verify that when you right click file on desktop and select delete, to move to trash, theres no duplicate menu listed with side effects,
