How do I get rid of sentimental things like stuffed animals?

I have a lot of stuffed animals and I don't want them to take over my room. I am a REALLY sentimental person and I would feel absolutely HORRIBLE, to give them away. what can I do to keep a spacious room but still hang on to my old "friends?"

Like the other postings I think you should donate them but before you do have a picnic (party) and take alot of pictures of you with them. That way you have pictures to remind you of special friends and you also have the knowledge that another person will value them as much as you. Put the pictures in an album and remember to keep the toys that are truly important to you when you donate them. Give to shelters, police agencies, fire departments, libraries, foster care groups, social service groups, and schools. Let the rest of the stuffed toys go. . . its the best kind of recycling. put them in a closet or put them in a box and put it in the basement or something.

-stick em in a box.

-give em to charity (imagine that little kid who doesnt have anything getting your precious friend.)

-give them to younger family

-put em on shelves

i still have mine (I'm 30), but they are in plastic tubs, awaiting my future kids.

I realize you don't want to get rid of these but I would get a picture with each that I could later write on the back of, I would then donate them to the police for children that need a friend at just the right time. When the cops have to go to a car wreck, family fight, ect.....a teddy bear helps make it easier for the children that are there. These are also great for nursing homes to give to the elderly. They will be very loved and greatly appreciated by the recipients, believe me. You will have your pictures, your memories with each one and the knowledge that someone is loving them as much as you have.Good Luck in whatever you choose to do with them.
