How do I get rid of the ads in the new yahoo homepage, please?

If Yahoo! got rid of the advertisements, then they would be required to charge you money for their service.

You cannot remove the ads.

You used to be able to switch back to the old, proper account instead of this god-awful new pile of ordure (look it up and give me another reprimand Mr Moderator!!)

You can't!  I've asked this question many times to the supposed BT Yahoo! 'tech support' and they just say "you can not remove the advertisement".  As we have to pay for the service I, and many other users, feel that it's a kick in the face from BT Yahoo!  It's like they have said to us, "Hey look, we're selling you a shoddy, poorly designed and hardly functional new sparkly home page - and to add insult that that, we've put in a huge annoying advert!"
