  1. you need to get a warm wash cloth and wipe the eyes.  If you dog has a short nose they will be more pron to have eye alergies. You may need to wash his face with warm water if there is a lot of mat.  I use a puppy shampoo that wont hurt the eyes also. You might need to do this a cupple times a week .

  2. Got to your vet first, but put eye drops on her and to get rid of those tear stains, find the tear stain remover! All in PET-SMART!!!

  3. i don't know ask a vet or just keep on taking them out! lol

  4. I know what you mean I have an american eskimo that has the same problem. We wash her face regularly with a washcloth and water (avoid using soap b/c it may irritate her eyes. also every morning when we wake up (i know it's annoying but...) clean them with a clean tissue so that when she wakes up it doesn't irritate her. What happens is their eyes get the boogers in them then they can't fully see, if the boogers get hard...they get sharp and poke their eyes, making them tear and then spread the non-dry boogies down their faces. So cleaning them regularly and keeping their eyes free from irritation are some ways that you can help her but their are drops that mey or may not help ( it didn't help my dog!!! ) : )But i hope this helps!!!!!!! : )

  5. I usually use a washcloth and warm water and gently rub it off of my puppy.

  6. well these are normal and all dogs get them, but dogs with longer hair or light hair get them noticed more.  you can just keep the dogs face trimmed and cleaned their tears stain their hair so as far as the coloring you may be out of luck.

  7. Clip the hair around the eyes. also wash her face everyday.

  8. use an eye cleaner meant for dogs to wash them away.

For the stains in the fur, something like Angel Eyes or Eye Envy will help.

You cant prevent them.. they happen.  Its the eye's natural way of washing away dirt and irritants with tears that would otherwise get in the eye and cause harm.

If your dog has LOTS of boogers, or they are very thick, or the hair around the eye is constantly wet, you may want to check with the vet tho.. your dog may have allergies, dry eye, an eye infection, or even entropian.
