Question:

How do I get rid of the feedback that my charger gives my microphone?

I use Skype quite often on my laptop. Everyone I speak to on Skype has been telling me they hear a hum or a buzzing sound coming from my microphone. I've never heard any annoying sounds myself, only the people I speak to seem to pick up these annoying sounds. I've realized, that every time I remove the charger from my laptop that the buzzing or hum goes away. I've tried several microphones and none seem to be any better. Is there anything I can do so that I can leave my charger in and not have these annoying feedback sounds? I've had my laptop for nearly 6 months and it didn't always have this problem. Could it be something else other than the charger? If so, what can I do to fix this?

  1. You could try wrapping a towel or something around the charger.
