How do I get rid of the rust on my tool?

  1. Use a wire brush


  2. soak in pepsi or coke.

  3. In the paint department at Home Depot there is a spray bottle named, "The Must For Rust".  This is the best rust remover I have ever used and I use it on my tools & equipment.  After treating the metal with it you can leave it natural for up to a year without the rust reoccurring; and it is excellent for cleaning other metals also, copper, brass. . . I also use it on the aluminum wheels, KC Lites, bumpers, etc.-etc., on my truck and they look like new.

  5. A can of sand with motor oil added; leave the tools in this.  I have several hand tools in one, as I speak.

  7. there's a product called navel jelly that dissolves the rust sold at most hardware stores. if you don't wanna do that then steel wool will do it too.  

  8. put it in a sausage grinder for 3 minutes. you tool.

  9. Coke or Pepsi DOES eat rust overnight or so.
