How do I get rid of the streaks left behind by the toilet cleaner on the toilet seat?

I used Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner to clean the toilet bowl and the underside of the seat. However, I left it for too long and the top of the toilet seat has these white streaks left behind by the cleaner. It kind of looks like the material was eroded away by it. If there's any way to make it look good as new again... please tell me.

You're right.  The chemicals ate the surface off. Get a new one, or just get used to it.
