It's at the tip of my tongue on the left side and it really pinches when I

eat or drink something. It's been there for a couple of days now. What are some things I can do at home to help get rid of it?

  1. I read in the newspaper to use full strength sauerkraut juice.  The kind you get at the deli or fresh usually in a bag.  Just hold it in your mouth a few times a day.  You don't have to swallow it.

  2. There is not a lot that you can do when you get a canker sore. It has to run it's course. There are some over the counter medications that can give you temporary relief when used. There is one called Tanac. Another called Glyoxide. These are topical solutions that you apply to the affected area several times a day and they might give you some relief. You can also try a wet tea bag that you put in your mouth and hold next to the canker sore. The same ingredient that is in the Tanac, tanic acid, is in a wet tea bag.

I know how uncomfortable canker sores are. I get them also and Tanac is the treatment that I use.

    Good luck.

  3. Well it will hurt but splash warm salt water around your mouth.

If that doesn't work go Walgreen's or CVS and get this stuff called Kanka, it really works.

  4. rinse with full strength listerine - the nasty tasting original flavor one, not the fruity minty ones.

    rinse 3-4 times a day.

    hurts like h**l but works.

should be gone in 2-3 days.

  5. try glyoxide or swishing proxide DONT SWALLOW

  6. My Mom always put baking soda on ours!  Old home remedy.
