Where I live, I don't have access to a garage and have to park where the sprinklers are. I've tried car washes, waxes and I don't have a buffer. Does anyone have any tricks or ideas on how to get rid of these d**n spots? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Use a rubbing compound. Its a very light abrasive that will remove small deficiencies in the paint.

After using the rubbing compound, you will have to wax the car again.

    Also, I might add.

Rubbing compound is not a "spot" treatment, you'll have to rub the entire car for it to look right.

  2. Wipe them off with a non-abrasive cloth.

  3. Re-wash it.

When you wash it, dry it and make sure you dry it all the way.

  4. Wow, I don't have access to a garage and when it rains I get stains too but I just wash my car with a bucket of water and the stains get removed. You have to wash your car in warm temperature because too hot and too cold will leave water stains. You must also dry your car thoroughly. Waxing your car should help reduce water stains.

  5. Try a product called "Color Back" and see if it will remove them...it won't hurt! I have used it to bring dull paint back to life so it should remove the water spots. Depending on how bad the spots are, you may have to use some muscle! Good luck.
