How do I get rid of yellow jacket nests and prevent others from forming?

I have yellow jackets everywhere I just want them gone. is there a permanent solution? or at least for the rest of summer?

assuming you are dealing with paper wasps ( the inverted umbrella looking nest found under the eaves and such) rather than true yellow jackets ... any general insecticide with a residual will help keep them from forming nests, though with what you will get over the counter you probably will have to re treat the areas they nest every few weeks

Blow up a paper bags and tie a string around the top and hang them in different locations.
