How do I get rid off the overgrowth skin situed under my tongue around the piercing?

Hy.I got my tongue pierced a month ago and since then a white bubble appeared under my tongue around the pierce.How do I get rid of it?Please help me

  1. Is it a bubble or just a bump? If it's really painful, leaking pus, etc. then it might be infected. But if it doesn't really hurt & is just a bump, that could be a keloid. Crush some aspirin and put the powder on the bump for a minute or so each day (worked for me). If you're not sure, it's always okay to ask your piercer.


  2. sounds like a mucocele cyst. I have had similar around scar tissue from lip piercings. An oral mucocele, also referred to as mucus extravasation phenomenon, is a swelling of connective tissue consisting of collected mucin from a ruptured salivary gland duct, which is usually caused by local trauma, such as a pierced tongue etc. It will be painless and will look like a small lump. Some go away on their own, others stay and you will need day surgery to have it removed.
