How do I get scholarships for college?

Question

I am a freshman at Baylor University in Waco tx and my grades were far from impressive for my first year so as a lesson my parents said they want me to come up with half of the tuition for the next year in hopes of teaching me responsibility and making me work for something so does anyone know where/how I can go about getting 20K. I doubt I really have to get half of the tuition but that will be my goal.
