I just got my own mac computer. My cousin gave me her old ipod shuffle and I would like to keep some of her songs but erase a lot. It doesn't seem like it will let me. Is there any way to do this?

  1. use the apple (or command, whichever) key and hold it down while you click on multiple songs, then press delete. that should work.

  2. you only can access ipods from the original computer, its synced to that computer, so you have to go to her computer, or download your own

  3. you have to do it on the "itunes" software it came with. your cousin should have it. if you go to playlists, it should have all the songs that you have on the ipod. you then simply drag the song you do not wish to keep and drop it into the library where it will be stored if you would like to put it back on later. and if you want to delete it then right click and go down to delete.

  4. You can't, if its on a different computer's iTunes.. it'll just reload everything. There IS some way to back it up, but its annoying, and i don't really know how. Good luck!

  5. i dont think so.

i think that as soon as you take someone else's playlist all of your own disappears

  6. yes. Just on itunes normally go to her all songs library and choose song press delete and done. Takes a while but it's worth it.
