How? do I get sound from my web-cam?

I purchased a hp webcam with a microphone all in one and when I have the web cam on the other person can't here me help

  1. make sure you have the microphone turned on and that the other persons computer isnt on mute.  Make sure your microhpone isnt on mute.  If that doesnt work i would reccomend switching messengers... i would try using Skype as oppose to AIM or ichat or any other messenger.  Also make sure that your webcam is compatible with your computer. (check the box).
