Question:

How do I get sound through an LG DVD player?

I bought an LG DVD player and LCD screen about two months ago and can't get any sound through the DVD player.

I'm connecting the DVD player to the TV with a scart lead and a Monster Cable link.

See picture: www.lashen.com/.../images/PL3_MKII_B_gla...

I've tried everything but still can't get any sound. Has anyone got any suggestions?

  1. The brand of cable isnt important in assisting, but rather the type of cable.

If you are using an S video(small circular ends)/HDMI(rectangular end)/Component cable (red, blue, green ends), none of these produce audio, you need to use the "audio out" on your dvd player to your surround sound, or to your tv (if it intakes audio cables).

If you are connected via Composite cables, then make sure your red/white ends aere in the proper colour holes.

  2. undo and re-wire everything, try new leads as it sounds like your scart is dodgy....

connect the 'red/white' phono's to a hifi to hear sound if everything ok....

if no good, its under warranty, so take it back x
