  1. It depends which state (or country) you homeschool in. No State in the U.S. requires "permission" (ie. you as the parent have the right to educate your child using your own discretion). But several States do require some type of paperwork to be filled out.

I found the best place to find out specifics for each State and country is Home School Legal Defense Association http://www.hslda.org/ as they have the most up to date requirements and laws (in a user friendly format).

    Hope this helps,

  2. You'd have to let us know roughly where you live. Each place has different rules.

  3. I don't need anything in MI.  Not even required to provide proof, but I still keep some papers just incase a friendly neighbor gets concerned that my child is not in school.  My daughter is only 3 now, and she is very advanced already.  So, I just keep a few papers showing her ability, and also I printed out the homeschooling laws in MI just in case the police are not aware of the homeschooling laws.

  4. "ministry of education" doesn't sound American and I know it's not British. Are you in Canada? If so try this link http://www.flora.org/homeschool-ca/
