  1. Perhaps you can join with another charity that has a similar mission.

  2. Try asking companies as they sometimes have money put aside for tax reasons just for charitable donations.

failling that just type in fund raising ideas on the net and you will get loads of stuff up.

i used to raise money for NSPCC and am always looking for ideas to raise money.

GOOD LUCK AND ALL THE BEST

  3. corporate support is a great way to go if you have the personnel to support this.  More and more big corporate companies are investing in the third sector so that they are "seen" to be doing something.  Try personal contacts through staff, volunteers and frends, or try a bit of internet research on local companies and teir CSR (corporate social responsibility) policies.

We've got some amazing volunteers who have raised  money for us through fun runs, marathons etc.  We are registered with justgiving.com.  whilst there is  cost involved for us, the amount that the volunteers raise and the fact that justgiving collects the gift aid covers that cost easiliy. You can also make one off donations through this site, so we have a link to that from our website homepage.  We hav also had friends of volunteers ask for donations for us instead of housewarming and wedding gifts, so having this online resource has been invaluable.

There are plenty of fundraising consultants out there who can help you for a fee.  You can also try your local cvs (council for voluntary action) who may be able to give you some support.

  4. Try getting chickens & sell tickets . If 1 chicken costs P110 per kg and the bird weighs 2kg you sell 50 tickets @ 10 pesos each  . you have  P 280 profit  get each member of your group to sell 50 tickets (at places like beer house etc ) and you can earn funds and make people happy as well.

Good luck . Rember  people dont like giving but they will always gamble if they have a good chance to win

  5. Try doing a race night.

The last one we did we raised about £400, we had a fun night and the man who comes along with the races helps you to run the evening.

Organise a car boot sale or an auction night.  Need to do lots of posters but these do go down well.

The usual quiz nights together with a raffle can get you started.

Approach a pub and ask can do a quiz night to raise money for your certain charity.

Speak to local shops and ask if they will sponser you, generally if it is for a good cause they will.

Approach a church and ask if you can use their hall for your race night.  If you know a good chef you could have a medieval night, serve food and drink charge extra and give a prize for the best dressed.  People like to enjoy themselves and they are usually generous if the night goes well.

If you speak to your local radio station they will advertise your special night for free.  See if one of the d.js will come along and present your prizes, always a good draw.  Good luck.

  6. You need serious help from your local CVS. It all depends on what your charity does, where it operates, what the need is, how you can evidence change in your beneficiaries, etc.
