Question:

How do I get stains out of my underwear?

Earlier today I had just gotten out of the shower and I was walking around my apt with just a t-shirt and my underwear on, getting ready to get dressed and leave. My mother called, so I walked into the other room and talked to her for a while. When I came back and sat down in my chair my butt was wet! I believe that while I was on the phone my puppy must have knocked over a can of pepsi I had been drinking and it spilled on my chair. So, now I have a brown stain on the butt of my underwear. Yeah, funny huh? They are white and pink and really nice with a little lace in them, so I don't want to trash them. The bad thing is that they got wet right as I was about to leave, so all I could do is take them off and throw them in the clothes basket. Now there is a dry brown stain on them. Is there anyway that they can be saved? I'm afraid that if I bleach them it will mess up the pattern or put bleach holes in them. I've bleached stuff before and little holes got on the shirt. Any advice on how to clean them without bleach?

  1. If you have Shout, spray some of that on it before you wash them.

  2. Soak them in OxyClean.

  3. Soda generally does not stain.  You should be ok washing as normal.

  4. a bar of Ivory soap and cold water

  5. Try washing up liquid. Put it on neat and rub well in, rinse them machinje wash. Hope it works it is good for blood stains too.

  6. Soak them in cold water with a little ammonia.  That works for blood stains, should work for Pepsi.

  7. Shout, stain remover is great. Just spray and I would let soak for a few minutes. I hope this helps.

  8. Try Oxyclean with shout. I do not see why you would trash them as they are still wearable. No one will see them anyway worn under your pants. To many wearable things wind up in landfills, why add to it :) Please see my profile if you have any more questions.

  9. I would try those stain removal products like Shout. But you can still use bleach but you have to dilute it in water. As per the instructions on the bottle. Once you've diluted the bleach you could soak them in the mixture for awhile. Then wash immediately.

  10. spray with spray -n- wash and let them soak for about 10 minutes.  wash as you normally would.  if the stain isn't out after that, repeat the treatment until it goes away.
