Question:

How do I get stronger hits in volleyball?

I play volleyball. I'm in 6th grade. I'm not that strong for hitting the balls. I can get the ball over well. but the POWER isnt there. any daily excersises or volleyball techniques? please help!

  2. push-ups help a lot, and you use your core muscles when you hit so sit-ups just stuff like that.

    and make sure when you hit you follow through with your hitting hand

  3. try to build upper arm strength by doing pushups and some pullups. also make sure u contact in the middle of the ball. that gave me a world help! good luck!

  4. Strengthen ur arms! lift weights and do push ups. also ur legs r a huge part of it! b sure to step into it when u r serving! Always b sure to follow through when hitting the ball! My coach tells me that ur arms should smack ur hips when u r hitting the ball! Hope i helped!  

  5. your legs are the key. for overhand serving you need lots of leg mussel. also you have to get your feet moving to have control and not miss the ball :-)

    for legs: do "death boxes" to do death boxes get a shin length, firm box. scawt all the way down and jump so your feet land on top of the box. when your on the top keep scwating and then jump down. do this several times.

    moving and other leg control: try running in place on you tip toes. gradually get faster and faster.

    also talk to your vollyball coach and ask for some extra lessons and you will be the best in the class!!

  6. make sure you snap your wrist and follow through with your arms. also, stregnthen your shoulder muscles and triceps that helps a lot too! good luck! :D

  7. do shoulder exercises. lift weights to strengthen ur shoulders
