Last week one of my precious children decided to dust the piano with sunscreen! Any ideas on how to clean the keys?

  1. I'd use a little vinegar on a paper towel

  2. Try toothpaste, the old style white stuff with a mild abrasive (I use Ulta Brite). I use it all the time when my daughters get all their cosmetics on the bathroom counter tops.

  3. What ever you do, I suggest that you be very careful!

Do not "pour" anything over the keys.

If something like vinegar got inside the piano, it could permenatly damage the instrument.

Also consider what the top part of your keys are made of.

Most tops of the keys are made of a plastic.

If yours are, I think "Hunting Bear" may be right.

Clean it with a little bit of vinegar on a paper towel.

The SAFEST way to clean it would be to go to your local music shop and find a piano cleaner.

I hope this helps! Good Luck!

    God Bless
