How do I get tabs on my Internet Explorer?

On my Mom's computer she has Tabs that you can open different windows on Internet Explorer, I live with my BF now and his compter does not have have that on Internet Explorer. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox. It had Tab's and it's great, but it freezes alot more often than Internet Explorer. Anyone know if there is a new Download of Internet Explorer where I can open tabs.

you need to do some windows updates or go to Microsofts download site and get IE 7 that will put the tabs on your Internet Explorer

To find out what version you have - click Help, about internet explorer. If you have version 6 use the link to get to version 7

Internet explorer 7 has support of tabs, you might want to try out opera, which has good support of tabs as well.

Tabs were added in Internet Explorer 7. You can get it by visiting http://update.microsoft.com/ providing you have a new enough version of Windows.
