It lightly covers the whole car. (they did work while my car was parked in the street) You can't even see the tar unless you look really close, but the car feels like sandpaper now.

  1. I stepped in tar on the beach. rum peanut butter on the tar then washed off with water. It got all off.

  2. Most good auto parts stores sell bug and tar remover. If your car is covered, that might be a big job so you might want a body shop to handle it.

Before you go to that expense, I would contact the company that applied the tar and ask to have them take care of the problem under their insurance. If you were not illegally parked and they failed to notify you, I believe they should take care of it.

  3. WD40 and a rag. Then wash and wax when your done. WD40 will make it look dull. New wax will help to keep dirt from sticking.

  4. wash car as usual,

to get the tar off use CLAY bar.

you can buy a kit that comes with a quick detailer, the clay, wax, and a cloth.

  5. with a can of coke

  6. You can use a product called DX 330 which is a wax and grease remover. Go to your local NAPA auto parts store, they will have it there. It removes road tar, old wax, oil ... Just go into NAPA and tell them you need one quart of DX 330 Wax and grease Remover.
